One Day. One Voice. One Purpose.
Orphan Sunday is a global movement to encourage the Body of Christ to “defend the cause of the fatherless” (Isaiah 1:17). In Zambia, Orphan Sunday is held on the first Sunday in October. Elsewhere, it is celebrated on the first Sunday in November. Orphan-care advocates around the world hold locally organized events from booths, sermons and Bible studies on caring for orphans to potluck dinners and community-wide rallies. Churches offer resources on how to sponsor, foster or adopt vulnerable children who have lost everything.
