Orphan Sunday

Imagine if on one Sunday a month … or even one Sunday a year, everyone in your congregation ate “light” and donated what they’d normally spend on Sunday meals to help children orphaned by the HIV/AIDS pandemic? It’s a simple idea that literally saves lives.

In 2003, Every Orphan’s Hope created and launched the very first Orphan Sunday in Lusaka, Zambia. Today, churches across North America hold their own Orphan Sunday events, raising vital funds for children who have lost everything. By mobilizing your congregation, you can hold an Orphan Sunday to support Every Orphan’s Hope in bringing God’s salvation to Zambian orphans, and giving them the chance to build a future in new families.

Here’s how to get started?
