ORPHAN SPONSORSHIP:
Sponsoring an orphan, in many cases, provides a lifeline of hope that is essential to meeting an orphaned child's most basic needs. Children who were once a burden in a household are transformed and become a blessing to the home in Christ's name.

What is Orphan Sponsorship? Orphan Sponsorship is your commitment to demonstrate the love of Jesus Christ to an orphaned child through your tangible support of their present needs and their future hopes and dreams.


How Does the Sponsorship Help? EOH Orphan Sponsorship works directly through the local church in Zambia to reach the children and minister directly to their needs. Sponsorship provides the following:

Education - EOH helps remove barriers to education so that they can attend school full-time. Your sponsorship provides book-bags, shoes, uniforms and initial school fees to clear hurdles for the child to enroll.

School Uniforms, Shoes & Supplies - We purchase these items and provide them directly to the sponsored child.

Food and Non-Food Items - Basic food and non-food items are distributed to the sponsored child's home and guardian on a monthly basis. The food and non-food needs are identified by the Sponsorship Volunteer Coordinator at the local church and coordinated with Martha Sichone, Ministry Director for EOH. Such items might include Mealie Meal (Corn Meal), Rice, Dried Fish, Meat, Poultry, vegetables, milk, sugar, salt, cooking oil, charcoal, etc.

Miscellaneous Ministry Opportunities - As needs arise and managed funds permit, items such as clothing, Bibles, story books and other opportunities to demonstrate Christ's love will be purchased.

Health Care - A portion of the sponsorship money is set aside in a group health care fund to be used for emergencies or on an as needed basis for diagnosis and treatment of aliments. The EOH Ministry Coordinator determines how best to administer these funds based on the treatment options available in your child's community.


How Can I Monitor My Sponsored Child's Progress? The Orphan Sponsorship program is administered through a local church in the community where your child lives. Additional oversight is provided through the local Every Orphan's Hope Ministry Coordinator. You are encouraged to develop regular communication with the Every Orphan's Hope Ministry Coordinator and your sponsored child.


Note: The local church and the local Every Orphan's Hope Ministry Coordinator are the primary sources for identifying the most essential needs of each sponsored child and determining how best to meet those needs through your sponsorship.
