Gary W. Schneider
On May 24, 1999, Gary Schneider was reading an article in USA Today about the HIV/AIDS pandemic in Zambia and its devastating effect on orphans. A photo of a young African boy reminded him of his son Garrett. Right then, God spoke to Gary. “The love you feel for your son, is the love I feel for these orphans.”
Years of business leadership, a servant’s heart as an elder at Purcellville Baptist Church, and his short-term mission experience uniquely prepared Gary to answer God’s call.
Every Orphan’s Hope was founded in October of 2002. Its mission is “to share the love and hope of Jesus Christ with orphans affected and infected by HIV/AIDS.”
As Founder & President of Every Orphan’s Hope, Gary sets the direction for strategic long- and short-term objectives and oversees the financial and human resources necessary to accomplish the ministry’s organizational mission.
In addition to Gary’s professional business experience, he is committed to his local church, has served as a Men’s Ministry Leader, Adult Sunday School Teacher, Deacon and Elder and is a licensed minister of the gospel.
A respected advocate for orphans, Gary enjoys speaking on the changing face of global missions, the Church’s response to the global HIV/AIDS pandemic, God’s heart for the fatherless, and the benefits and challenges for those sending and receiving short-term mission teams.
Gary and his wife Debbie are celebrating 32 years of marriage and have four children: Holly, Garrett, Haley, and Mandy.
