Across Zambia, Every Orphan’s Hope is impacting lives.

We provide stability and care orphans need today and equip them to become independent adults tomorrow. Along the way, we introduce them to the enduring love of Jesus and invite others to join us in transforming the lives of vulnerable children.

We’re celebrating what God has done so far in 2026, and we’re looking forward to what He’ll do next.

Family Care Updates

Every Orphan’s Hope continues to provide direct care to orphans through Baby Homes, Family Homes, and Young Adult Homes. These homes give children the stability of a safe, loving family and help them move toward long-term independence.

Baby Home Highlights:

Baby Homes are temporary places of safety until children can grow up in their best permanent family solution.

  • 32 children are safe in Baby Homes, waiting for a permanent family placement.
  • 26 children are receiving post-reintegration follow up.

Family Home Highlights:

In family homes, children are not just cared for; they’re equipped to lead and thrive.

  • 58 children are settled in stable homes where they feel loved by caregivers and siblings who provide a sense of belonging. Basic needs are provided, and children have access to school, learning resources, and leadership training.
  • They are growing in responsibility and character: Kelly serves as school Head Boy, and Charity and Anita serve as school prefects.
  • 9 children moved from Baby Homes to Family Homes at the beginning of 2026. This transition can be difficult, so Every Orphan’s Hope provides follow-up counseling and support sessions to help. The children are adapting to their new surroundings and building relationships within their new families.
  • 11 children are being assessed for possible reintegration with their biological families.

Young Adult Home Highlights:

After growing up in Family Homes, young adults may apply to the Young Adults Program, which equips them with the skills they need to thrive in adulthood in a supportive, accountable setting.

  • 8 young adults are preparing for adulthood by pursuing higher education or vocational pathways
  • Joshua secured employment with a mining company. After years of discipleship, educational support, and consistent family-like care, he was prepared to confidently step into adulthood.
  • Thoko is a beautiful example of how Young Adult Homes prepare young people to launch. She was one of the very first children in our care; today she leads thousands in worship. In fact, Thoko recently led worship alongside international Christian recording artists at an event sponsored in part by Every Orphan’s Hope. Her story is a powerful reminder of what restoration looks like when children are surrounded by faith, family, and opportunity.

Camp Hope Is Coming!

Camp Hope ministers to the deeper spiritual and emotional needs many orphaned children carry. Through worship, teaching, mentorship, and small-group conversations, children hear the truth that their identity is rooted in God’s enduring love for them. In 2026, three camps in three different regions of Zambia (Livingstone, Kabwe, and Lusaka) will reach 900 children with the gospel and intentional discipleship. Volunteers from local and international churches will come together to create a safe environment where children can experience spiritual formation, encounter hope, feel a sense of belonging, and have fun!

On the Move: Advancing Orphan Care

  • Orphan Sunday: A Zambian-led committee is developing a three-year strategic plan to embed Orphan Sunday deeply within the church across the country. Highlights of the plan include a pastor’s conference; a national flagship Orphan Sunday gathering of 8,000 people in November, and a strategy to help shape the Zambian Church’s understanding of its call to care for the orphan.
  • Thrive Program: In collaboration with Zambia’s Ministry of Community Development and Social Services (MCDSS) and A Child’s Hope Foundation, Every Orphan’s Hope will continue to walk alongside nine additional children’s homes across Zambia throughout 2026, providing training, mentorship, and best-practice guidance to strengthen the care they provide to children.

Looking Ahead: Our Five-Year Vision

God is moving in powerful ways across Zambia, through children, through churches, and through people who say yes to helping a child belong. Camp Hope is up and running, pursuing the goal of reaching every child in Zambia with the love of Jesus. Orphan Sunday is gaining momentum as church leaders across Zambia unite around the biblical call to care for the orphan. The Thrive Program and others like it are expanding the reach of family-centered care beyond one ministry. Together, these initiatives are mobilizing an entire movement of churches, leaders, and communities committed to caring for vulnerable children.

Help Keep Hope in Motion

We are witnessing God move in powerful ways across Zambia. Our children are flourishing; our homes are thriving, and our mission is advancing.   When you say yes to helping a child belong, you change the trajectory of a child’s life. Your generous support helps us maintain our momentum and helps us strengthen families, equip churches, and raise a generation of leaders who will continue caring for vulnerable children long into the future.
