Bread and Bikes: Fueling Families, Sustaining Futures
The business-as-mission bakery and bike shops are thriving and making a meaningful impact in the community. We’ve expanded beyond our permanent bakery location on the Family Homes property by opening a satellite shop in the local market, making fresh bread more accessible. The bike shop is also flourishing. This year, we’ve received multiple bike shipments, keeping our inventory well-stocked. These bikes serve as a lifeline for many, with some even using them to launch their own ventures, turning mobility into opportunity.
For instance, some local entrepreneurs purchase bread in bulk from the bakery and transport it to other areas to sell at a profit, creating small businesses that support their families. Additionally, some young adults who grew up in Every Orphan’s Hope are now employed in these businesses, gaining valuable skills and experience. With 100% of the proceeds supporting the ministry, we’re not only fueling futures—we’re transforming lives and spreading opportunity throughout the community.
