Donor Advised Funds (DAF)

Receive an immediate tax deduction when you deposit cash or proceeds from appreciated assets into a single charitable giving account. Then, recommend grants be made to Every Orphan’s Hope and your other favorite charities at a time that works best for you.

Timing. Receive an immediate tax deduction when you make a gift into your donor-advised fund. Then, advise how and when you wish to distribute your gifts to EOH and other chosen ministries.

Flexibility. You may choose to give in one-time or recurring increments, and you may choose to designate your gift to a specific area of focus.

Simplicity. Simplify your giving and record-keeping by making all gifts of cash, stocks, or appreciated assets from a single account.

Privacy. You can choose to make any or all grants to your charities anonymously.

Expertise. Benefit from the knowledge and expertise of staff who will manage and liquidate your non-cash asset gifts for you.

Cost-effective. Many families choose to use their donor-advised fund as a cost-effective alternative to establishing a private foundation.

*Through our membership with Barnabas Foundation, you have complimentary access to donor-advised funds that reflect your biblical values and allow you to join tens of thousands of givers around the world in an unprecedented movement of Christian generosity!

Non-Cash Assets

You can increase your potential impact – and experience significant tax savings – by giving non-cash assets.

Examples of Non-Cash Assets

  • Stock or marketable securities
  • Real estate
  • Business interests
  • Farm commodities
  • Life insurance

Benefits of Giving Non-Cash Assets

It’s tax-wise. Receive a fair market value deduction at the time of your gift and avoid tax liability on the sale of appreciated assets.

You eliminate hassles. Give assets you no longer need or want to manage (such as rental properties or vacation homes) to benefit Every Orphan’s Hope.

Charitable Rollover

Give a tax-wise gift up to $108,000 per year in IRA assets directly to your favorite Kingdom causes.

Convenient. An easy way to give to Every Orphan’s Hope.

Tax-wise. Distributions made directly to charity are not treated as taxable income. This is advantageous even if you don’t itemize deductions on your tax returns!

Promises kept. Gifts from your IRA can be used to fulfill any charitable giving pledges previously made.

Impactful. Gifts are tax-free to EOH. The entirety of your gift will go toward the ministry!

You can give from your IRA to the ministry without federal tax liability if the gifts are qualified charitable distributions (QCDs). Distributions qualify for all or part of your required minimum distribution (RMD).

  • IRA holders must be 70 ½ or older at the time of the gift.
  • Give up to $108,000* per year, per person.
  • Gifts must be outright gifts made directly to a charitable organization.
  • Distributions to donor-advised funds, charitable trusts, or charitable gift annuities are not permissible.
  • Distributions may only be made from traditional or Roth IRAs; other retirement accounts are not eligible.
  • You can give a one-time qualified charitable distribution (or multiple QCDs within a single year) totaling no more than $54,000 to fund a life income gift.

*As of January 2025. Indexed for inflation annually.

IRA charitable rollovers must be requested by the donor directly from his/her IRA administrator.

Tribute Gifts

Caring for an orphaned child in the name of a loved one is a wonderful way to honor them. Whether you’re giving for a special occasion or in someone’s memory, you’ll leave a legacy on their behalf by caring for the least of these.

Gifts in Honor

Throughout the year, there are all kinds of celebrations that inspire people like you to give in someone’s honor. At Every Orphan’s Hope, Christmas, Mother’s Day, and Father’s Day are some of the most popular!

Consider giving in someone’s honor for their birthday, graduation, or other milestone. When you do, we’ll mail a card to let your loved one know about the lasting impact that will be made in Zambia through them.

Gifts in Memory

Carry on the legacy of a loved one by caring for orphaned and vulnerable children in their memory. Through your thoughtful gift, lives in Zambia will be changed, making a lasting impact for generations to come. We will create a special link that is easily shared so you can invite family and friends to join you in honoring their memory. Your gift will help provide loving homes, education, and the hope of Christ to children who need it most. Together, we can turn remembrance into a powerful force for good, ensuring that their legacy continues to bring light and love to the next generation.

Gifts in A Will

For Christians, this isn’t just a legal process, it is also an act of worship, as you lay everything you are and have before the Lord for His purposes.

Legacy. You can extend the impact of your generosity well beyond your lifetime.

Retain. You have access to your God-given resources for the remainder of your lifetime, or for as long as you need them.

Capacity. You can potentially make the largest gift you’ll ever have the ability to give.

Adjustable. You can change your mind at any time about how your charitable gifts are designated.

Income for Life

Through a lifetime income gift, you can support Every Orphan’s Hope and secure steady income payments for you or your loved ones.

CGA – Charitable Gift Annuity – Establish a charitable gift annuity by gifting cash, stock, or other appreciated assets in support of the ministries close to your heart. In exchange, you’ll receive an immediate tax deduction and then fixed payments for life for you and your loved ones.

CRT – Charitable Remainder Trust – Make a gift into a charitable trust. Contributions may include cash, publicly traded securities, some types of closely held stock, real estate, and certain other complex assets. You receive ongoing payments for one or more individuals, including yourself. The remaining assets are distributed to your favorite charities upon termination of the trust.

Benefits of Lifetime Income Agreements

Win-win. Support Every Orphan’s Hope while securing income payments for life or a designated number of years.

Eliminate hassles. Give assets that you no longer need or want to manage (such as rental properties or vacation homes) for the benefit of Every Orphan’s Hope.

Tax-wise. Receive an immediate income tax deduction at the time of your gift and reduce capital gains tax when funding your gift with appreciated assets.

Meet Our Strategic Gift Partners

We’re not the experts when it comes to strategic giving advice, but we can introduce you to our partners who are professionals on the topic. This is our free service to you, as you use your resources to share the love of Christ with the least of these.

Every Orphan’s Hope partners with Barnabas Foundation to offer our supporters complimentary planning services and assistance with complex gifts. They’ll help you accomplish the greatest good with your generosity – for your family and for God’s Kingdom.

Our generous friend, Kurt Anders of Anders Financial Management, provides a valuable service to our community by processing all gifts of stocks for our donors at no cost. This thoughtful gesture not only makes it easy for supporters to contribute through stock donations, but it also ensures that 100% of their gift goes directly toward helping orphaned children experience the love, care, and opportunities they deserve. For more information, reach out to Kurt at (970) 226-1150 or email plannedgiving@everyorphan.org.
