Camp Hope Reboot: Summer 2025
THE CAMP HOPE EXPERIENCE
Camp Hope is a transformative 5-day experience for orphaned children in Zambia, where they are immersed in an atmosphere of unconditional love and care. At the heart of Camp Hope is the Gospel of Jesus Christ. Through engaging stories, heartfelt songs, and personal connections, volunteers share Christ’s love with the children, filling their hearts with the joy of knowing they are deeply loved by God. Camp Hope is more than just a camp—it’s an experience that leaves a lasting legacy of hope and love in the lives of Zambia’s orphans and their caretakers.
A Legacy of Impact (2003-2018)
Since its inception in 2003, Camp Hope has impacted the lives of over 10,000 orphans, providing them with an unforgettable camp experience and a personal encounter with the Gospel of Christ. During these years, Camp Hope became a vital part of our ministry. Some of the first children who entered Every Orphan’s Hope Family Homes were identified through Camp Hope, and many short-term missionaries learned how to share their testimonies and disciple young hearts during their time at camp.
In 2018, God led us to pause Camp Hope. This pause allowed us to turn our focus on finishing the race well for the first generation of children in the Family Homes, ensuring they were fully established and prepared for life as flourishing young adults.
Why Now?
After a seven-year pause, the first generation of young adults from the Family Homes is thriving, and the scholarship program is fully established. The time is right to relaunch Camp Hope with renewed energy and vision. Camp Hope’s impact has always been undeniable, and we believe that as we move forward, this camp experience will once again transform the lives of Zambia’s orphans.
The Reboot of Camp Hope
We’re excited to announce that Camp Hope will return in 2025, starting with one or two camps this summer and expanding over the years. Our goal is to reach 10,000 orphans with the saving message of Jesus Christ by 2029.
While American short-term volunteers will serve, local Zambian believers will lead and staff many camps. Zambians’ active participation is crucial, as they bring valuable cultural understanding and long-term commitment to the mission. By engaging more local believers, we anticipate even greater impact and sustainability in the future.
This reboot will transform the lives of children and equip local churches to support families caring for orphans by encouraging them to embrace these children as beloved members of God’s family and equal image-bearers in Christ!
