Going Beyond in Care at the Family Homes
In the Family Homes, our approach to care goes beyond surface-level needs to truly nurture each child’s heart and soul. Each day begins with family prayers and concludes with evening devotionals. On Sundays, the children accompany their Mamas to worship services at one of the nearby churches. Chaplains Pastor Henry and Reverend Cynthia conduct separate weekly Bible studies for both children and Mamas and are available for counseling, providing deeper insights on theological questions and practical life applications.
This year, we’ve introduced a new level of support that dives deeper into healing and growth. Our Mamas undergo ongoing training to better understand and meet each child’s unique needs, employing a trauma-informed approach that empowers the children to grow in self-awareness and confidence. Additionally, therapists now walk alongside the children, ensuring they receive the care and attention needed to support their emotional development.
These holistic initiatives foster a nurturing environment that allows children to experience deep healing and growth in every aspect of their lives.
