Going Beyond In Education
At Every Orphan’s Hope, we’re going beyond traditional care by investing in the transformative power of education. From preschool programs that lay a strong foundation for lifelong learning, to primary and secondary schools that nurture academic and personal growth, we are equipping children with the tools they need to thrive. For those pursuing higher education, we provide pathways to unlock their potential and become future leaders in their communities. With every stage of learning, we’re creating opportunities that inspire confidence, foster independence, and build a brighter future. Together, we’re shaping the next generation to dream beyond limits.
Preschool
The preschool at the Baby Homes offers a warm and nurturing environment with three levels of learning, starting at age three. In Zambia, where only 27% of children attend preschool, every child in our Baby Homes who is three years and older has the chance to learn and grow in this supportive setting. As they reach developmental milestones, they advance to the next level, progressing at their own pace while receiving emotional, spiritual, and academic support. Through fun lessons, creative play, Bible stories, character-building activities, and the guidance of outstanding teachers, our preschool prepares children for primary school, sparking their curiosity, fostering resilience, and building confidence for a bright future full of possibilities and hope.
Primary and Secondary
This year, we recognized a serious educational crisis impacting children in Zambia’s government schools. Class sizes had grown to 100 students per teacher, and class time was drastically cut, leaving our children at risk of falling behind. To address this urgent issue, we launched a capital campaign in February 2024 to raise $195,000 to build an afterschool academy and hire staff to help close the learning gap. Thanks to the overwhelming generosity of our donors, we met our goal by May. Set to open before the new school year in January, the academy will provide a student-teacher ratio of less than 1:10, ensuring our kids receive the focused attention they deserve—an incredible improvement from the 1:100 ratio* in government schools. Beyond academics, this facility will also serve as a space for Bible studies, trainings, and counseling, providing holistic support for our children’s development. This vital resource will equip our kids to succeed!

Higher Education
We are deeply committed to giving our young adults the resources and support they need to thrive in all aspects of life. We’re excited that eight students have achieved their higher education goals during this last year! Max is now employed as a nurse in Ndola, and Clement has started graduate school in India. The other grads are now actively pursuing job opportunities and building experience, preparing to launch into full independence.
