How we care for babies
Housing
Each baby is provided with a loving and nurturing home with a dedicated Mama, offering a safe and comforting environment where they can thrive and grow.
Food
Every child receives nutritious meals, including fresh vegetables, fruits, and high-quality meats, prepared by trained professionals in a commercial kitchen so our dedicated mamas can focus entirely on caring for the children.
Celebrations & Outings
The Mamas and staff organize festive holiday parties for the children and exciting field trips to local attractions such as the zoo during school breaks.
Discipleship
Bible education is integral to each child’s development. Our mamas are supported with weekly Bible studies and church sessions led by our staff chaplains.
Family Advocates
Our highly-trained social work team tirelessly works to find the very best permanent family solution for each child in our care.
Medical Care
Ensuring each baby’s physical well-being is our priority. Upon arrival, the staff nurse conducts an internal evaluation, followed by comprehensive hospital testing. We also provide ongoing physical and medical therapies to every child in need, ensuring continuous monitoring and support for their health.
Clothing
Upon arrival, Mamas thoughtfully assembles a complete wardrobe for each child who comes into their care, ensuring they have clothing essentials that stay with them as they move forward in life.
Education
Each child’s educational needs are cared for by placing them in appropriate classrooms where they can learn and grow. Additionally, our children have access to a full library to support their learning journey
Trauma Counseling
Because of the hardships each child has faced, we ensure every child receives a compassionate and thorough mental health evaluation. This is followed by a personalized plan of action that may include nurturing group therapy, comforting play therapy, or individualized support services.

YVONNE
The first baby finds her forever home
Yvonne’s mother tragically died at the hospital while giving birth to Yvonne. With no family to take her, at just 13-days old, she was the very first child brought to the baby homes.
Thanks to the generous supporters of Every Orphan’s Hope, Yvonne was rescued! Now seven years old, she is experiencing a joy-filled childhood with Mama Sarah and her new brothers and sisters in Chongwe, Zambia.
Yvonne is now an active, confident, friendly girl who always wears a big smile! She’s full of energy and loves to dance and play! Every Orphan’s Hope is the only home she’s known, and she loves her Mama and siblings.
