On Mission with EOH

We are praising God for an outstanding June in Zambia! Between mission team participants, interns, staff members, and board members, we received over 60 people in Africa!

Our summer started with a large youth team comprised of students from Valor Christian High School in Highland Ranch, Colorado, and Legacy Christian Academy in Frisco, Texas.

The team came ready to share God’s love with the kids and build relationships! They hosted a 3-day VBS for the kids at the Family Homes in Chongwe and a 2-day VBS for the children in the Baby Homes. In addition to VBS, the team set up the Family Homes library and completed some painting projects for the Family and Baby Homes.

While this team was hard at work, Founder Gary Schneider and VP of Operations Alyson Presley hosted a board meeting, joining American and Zambian board members in valuable ministry discussions and vision casting.

Our next team to arrive included members of Purcellville Baptist Church in Virginia, along with a longtime ministry supporter from Texas, Sam Mathai. This team was small but mighty! They evangelized in a nearby village, helped the EOH chaplains lead a prayer conference, completed a playground makeover, installed new ceilings in four homes, and did some exterior painting.

In addition to these two teams, EOH staff families – the Presleys and Smiths – brought their talents and gifts to serve the ministry.

These teams made a beautiful imprint on each of the children’s lives. They were indeed the hands and feet of Jesus, pointing each of these children to the God who loves them dearly. To see more about the trips visit everyorphan.org/missions.
