DORCAS

Turning Pain into Purpose

Dorcas is a current young adult with a hard but beautiful story. She joined Every Orphan’s Hope in 2006 when her mother, Mama Juliet, answered God’s call to join the ministry as the newest widowed Mama of the Family Homes.

Dorcas and her biological sister, Hope, joined six other children and became a great big family!

In 2018, when Dorcas was in her last year of high school, she tragically lost her mother to cancer. She went from helping her mother serve orphans to becoming an orphan herself.

In God’s providence, Dorcas was surrounded by the love and support she needed to continue on a path of success. She was able to complete 12th grade and continue on to higher education.

In 2021, she graduated with a diploma in social work. She is now interning as a social worker at the Evangelical Fellowship of Zambia!
