Our Baby Homes are located in Lusaka, Zambia. Here, babies and toddlers receive short-term emergency protection and long-term loving care. Once they reach 5-years old, if they have not been reunified with a biological or adoptive family, they move to our family homes located in Chongwe, Zambia.

A History of the Baby Homes

November 2014

Hellen, called by God to care for orphans in Lusaka, accepted her first baby in the home her sister gifted to her. This little one was Yvonne, who, abandoned when her mother died in childbirth, is now happy and secure in one of our Family Homes!

Early 2017

The babies kept coming but funding was running dry. Hellen’s ministry was in trouble. With mounting debt and no way to pay the mothers, Hellen was facing the reality that she might have to close the doors of the baby rescue mission.

october 2017

Gary Schneider, Founder of Every Orphan’s Hope, met Hellen for the first time. He felt the Spirit’s presence from the moment he stepped on the property. In a short time, God would reveal His divine relief plan for Hellen, her 16 babies, and the staff.

January 2018

The Spirit moved mightily, with God asking Every Orphan’s Hope to take full financial responsibility for the baby home. With no plan in place, Gary obeyed and asked Hellen to come under the umbrella of Every Orphan’s Hope.

2020 to Present

After turning 10 babies away in 2019 because the home was out of space, EOH supporters donated $money to build four homes to increase the care capacity to 40 babies. Hellen, the social workers, and the mothers now enjoy a beautiful facility in which to love and care for the babies.

Watch Hellen in this emotional video of how God has worked to provide for His babies in Zambia.

YVONNE

The first baby finds her forever home

Yvonne’s mother tragically died at the hospital while giving birth to Yvonne. With no family to take her, at just 13-days old, she was the very first child brought to our baby homes.

Thanks to the generous supporters of Every Orphan’s Hope, Yvonne was rescued! Now seven years old, she is experiencing a joy-filled childhood with Mama Sarah and her new brothers and sisters in Chongwe, Zambia.

Yvonne is now an active, confident, friendly girl who always wears a big smile! She’s full of energy and loves to dance and play! Every Orphan’s Hope is the only home she’s known, and she loves her Mama and siblings.
